Activities to do in Costa Rica
Costa Rica is absolutely incomparable with places to see and things to do. These are my must-see attractions:
- Arenal Volcano
Hiking the Cerro Chato hill, a must do for nature lovers. 4 hours hiking in the rainforest to get to one of the most exiting spots in Arenal. From the top hill you can admire La Fortuna town and its surroundings and have a swimming into the small volcanic lake of Cerro Chato.
- Monteverde Cloud Forest
Crazy and out of mind, the ziplines here will make you experience adrenaline. 18 platforms, longest cable, and the craziest tarzan swing in Costa Rica.
- Rincon de la Vieja National Park.
Located in north pacific area, the Park offers a wide variety of activities: Horseback ridings, Waterfalls, blue rivers, but is the mud bath natural treatment in the Rio Negro hot springs that makes it a great experience.
- Manuel Antonio National Park
The Ocean Sunset tour... a boat party combining snorkeling, whales and dolphin views. A first class adventure to enjoy in Manuel Antonio
- Rafting in Pacuare river
A world class adventure through the Pacuare river going through the white waters of the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. Endless canyon full of tropical forest and brave waters will make it a must-experience in Costa Rica
- Tortuguero the small amazon of Costa Rica
A chain of canals in the Caribbean Coast surrounded by green-natural walls full of wildlife. Just being here is a direct connecting with the real jungle.
- Tortuga Island Tour
If there is a family experience then Tortuga Island is perfect for those looking for lonely place to stay away from busy world. A full day all-incusive tour through the Nicoya Gulf will keep you busy with the banana boat, snorkeling, jetskies and much more.
- San Jose | Poas Volcano National Park
Have you ever wonder how a volcano looks from the top side? 2600 meters over the sea level, this nature wonder is located only 40 minutes from SJO Airport and offers great views of the crater and it canyon down hill. It also offers a visitors center and nice 40 minutes hiking to explore the surroundings and Lake Botos.
- Rio Celeste
A combination of rivers and volcanic minerals make the Tenorio National Park´s river a blue cristal water. Here you can walk into the park to explore the funny phenomenon that occurs to turn the waters in blue
- Bahia Ballena, South Pacific
September and October are the months for whales mating. Every year, during their transitional tour, the south pacific coast of Costa Rica hosts them to allowing admire their beauty. Daily tours from Bahia Ballena can be taken to go and see them.
